Starting from Mikulov, international route 52 must be crossed using the pedestrian crossing near the roundabout at Billa.

Good to know

The ruins of a medieval fortress ‘Dívčí hrady’, also known as ‘Děvičky’, rise on Děvín Hill over Pavlov. From the opposite side of Pálava you can get to the ruins of another castle called ´Sirotčí hrádek´.

Tips and historical sites along the way

Sedlec – In the village is the Church of St. Vitus and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk.

Nesyt Pond – In the direction of Hlohovec the trail leads around the largest pond in Moravia. Slanisko located near Nesyt (national nature reserve) is a major ornithological locality.

Nejdek – part of the village of Lednice. The local attraction is a watermill.

Hlohovec – the trail leads around the Border Mansion (Czech cultural heritage).

Pavlov – a quaint wine village with numerous traditional farmhouses and vintner houses, whose central part was designated a rural conservation area in 1995. Since 2016 a modern exhibition named “ArcheoPark Pavlov” has been open to visitors.
